There are a lot of stories about St. Casimir's miracles. It is also considered a miracle that, more than a hundred years after the opening of St. Casimir's coffin, his body was found completely intact. The Resurrection of Ursula is the first known miracle of St. Casimir. After the death of a young girl Ursula, her father went to the coffin of the prince to pray for her, and the girl was miraculously resurrected. The returned sight of blind worshipers and the healing of many seriously ill people, who could not be cured are mentioned as St. Casimir's miracles too. St. Casimir's Day is also significant because it is the end of winter, there is a saying: "St. Casimir crooked." It means that the sledge path becomes crooked, as snow starts melting and the spring is coming.

In the vault of the chapel, four plaster figures of women represent St. Casimir's way and the essential values he nurtured: endurance, justice, self-control, and constancy. The most beautiful and expensive decoration of the chapel is the extremely artistic altar, above which the famous painting of Three-handed St. Casimir is hung. According to the legend, the artist, who painted the picture, noticed that the right hand was a little longer, so he covered it with paint, and next to it, he drew another shorter hand, closer to the heart. But that previously drawn hand, despite the artist's efforts to hide it repeatedly, reappeared after a while. Therefore St. Casimir remained in the painting with three hands to this day.

One of the most memorable legends is about the enchanted sleeping St. Casimir's army, which is hidden under the cities of Kaunas and Vilnius. Thousands of soldiers with shining shields and iron armour riding their horses, armed with sharp steel swords and spears, and waiting to be called to help defend Lithuania from enemies in a difficult hour for the homeland. It is said that the enchanted St. Casimir's army also helped defeat a hundred times more numerous and powerful enemy in our struggles for independence.
