Address:

The lush old blue post office building stands next to the former Market Square. It is a single-storey log house of that period architecture with vertically laid wooden planks. Currently, the building houses the Administration Office of Trakai Historical National Park. At the beginning of the 19th century, the house was built by the Dominicans who lived in the nearby Peninsula Castle. Fifty years later, the Dominican monastery was liquidated, and the building was given to the Trakai County Police Board. Shortly afterwards, the police station was replaced by the Russian Empire Post Office. For nearly a century, the house housed the Vilnius District Post and Telegraph Offices and archives. In addition, there were five rooms for the postal staff.
